Don't Iraq Iran Second Life Protest

PEJ News - Yosi Tomorrow - Recently I was on Second Life which is an online virtual reality.   While I was there, there was a virtual demonstration going on called Don't Iraq Iran, so I decided to report on the event which I found amazing.

Don't Iraq Iran Demonstration at Linden Head Quarters on Second Life

According to one of the organizers Solidad Sugarbeet: "We came into being to voice our discontent with the pending war with Iran, which is being perpetuated by the US, according to Seymour Hersh not to mention the rhetoric of the Bush administration.  We represent all voices who are for peace - no discrimination politically and who want an end to war. "

"This is our first event.  As of mid-afternoon, we have over 300 attendees.  Not bad for under two weeks worth of work :)"

There are numerous other pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/forpeace/2079462230/in/photostream/   The demonstration involved the group of demonstrators teleporting to different locations in Second Life and yes there is a Capitol Hill, CNN, Reuters etc in Second Life.  And of course, there is a PEJ News - Peace, Earth & Justice News at the co-ordinates (37, 200,21) .

One very nice thing is that people can teleport and fly around which makes automobiles and roads obsolete.
